DP No4 for sale at local Cabela's

Walked into the closest Cabela's and noted that they had 3 No4 rifles for sale. The second one I picked up was clearly marked DP on the receiver ring. I brought this to the attention of the "gun library" guy. He said "we looked it over and it's not bored out". WTH???????

I told him that not all Drill Purpose rifles were "bored out", and that there was a reason they were made drill rifles. He then said they would have their gunsmith check it out.....walked off and left it on the sale rack!

Just does not seem right. Should have taken it a little higher in the food chain?

Similiarly I was looking at an Enfield in my local shop and noticed the sear spring was too weak in it (would fire on safe). However the guys there removed the rifle imeadiately from the shelf when I told them. They had it fixed and later returned for sale.

Could be the difference between "Big Box" and local?

Cabela's Gun Library guys don't seem to like things being brought to their attention. Things like wrong magazines stuffed in rifles, rifles left cocked and zip tied that way, wrong information on tags.... you get the picture
