A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I had a Remington Rand I took in trade when I was an FFL in the late 1990s. It was in the original, serial numbered pasteboard box with VCI paper. I sold it in about 2006 or 2007 for $950 when my wife's business was crashing and I needed the money. The buyer was ecstatic to get it at that price.... I never fired it, and it was unfired when I got it.

Thanks. I bought it from a walk-in at a small gun show where apparently no one else recognized what it was. I must have been the last person in the show to see it, because when I ask to see it the seller told me I wasn't going to like the price, but he wasn't taking any less. I would have paid double what he was asking if I had to. It has everything you would like to see on an early RR; the Colt barrel, 1911 slide stop, and odd variation hammer.
