Colt AR15A2 Delta Elite package - value now?

I've got a AR15A2 Delta Elite package and need to know about what it's worth for insurance purposes.

It's got the Tasco scope, ARMS carry handle mount, Colt cheekpiece, two 20 rnd magazines (pinned to 5 - dammit!!!), the original manuals, and I have the case it came in (which looks a little worse for wear).

What's this combo package worth nowadays??(yes, I searched for a thread on this but didn't find one)

One on Gunbroker now for $2500, no bids yet. Considering tax, DROS, etc, I would say go $3,000. THey are very scarce.

PS, the 5 rounders can be made into 20s in about 2 minutes each. You drill the pop rivit in the base out, disassemble it and take the "U" shaped block out, then re-assemble minus rivit. I took four 5 rounders and modified them to Kalifornia legal 10s.

Ah, if only I (legally) could. In Canada, the max mag capacity for semi-auto centerfire rifles is 5 rounds, with the exception of the Garand.

I didn't know Delta Elite packages were that scarce, thanks for the info!!

Yes, they are very scarce and even more scarce in their original configuration. I would have no problem insuring that rifle for $3K easy, maybe even a few dollars more.

Does yours have the original pistol grip with the red delta sign on it?

At two different shops in Bakersfield run of the mill Mforgeries are in the $2500.00 TO $3000.00 range.
