Vetterli CA legal?

So does anybody know if the vetterli is California legal? I found one in pretty good shape but here in Cali you really have to be careful about the legal stuff. I don't know exactly what model but it is in the full rifle configuration. Any info helps.

According to Federal firearms laws, anything made prior to 1898 is not a firearm but an antique. I would suspect that the Vertelli rifles fall into that category by quite a few years. As for California, who knows.
