Photobucket problem?

I wanted to post some images but I cannot get photobucket to download my image files so I can search and post them here. Anybody else have this problem?

Never could make that work. You can link the images directly to the post (I use the ".img" link thingy), but adding to the album on this site is a "no go", near as I can figure. I finally managed to bypass the photobucket thing by making the file size in the camera small enough. Can be done on my camera either whilst shooting or later on as a copy in it's memory. Limits the cropping/editing possble , and is somewhat less useful, but Photobucket keeps getting worse, and our free account is about "full".

PhotoBucket behaves oddly a lot of the time, so it's just as easy to use:

It's a built in site function to display your pics and also have them permanently stored on our site, so it doesn't matter whether PhotoBucket deletes them or not...

Within an hour or so of posting (linking to pics off-site), they are mirrored and reside on our own server here for posterity, so even if a user moves all his pics to another album, or the hosting site deletes them after the 30 day free trial a lot of people take advantage of, they still appear properly in threads, just as the original poster submitted them.

Why are my images from Photobucket, ImageShack etc. copied to milsurps.com?

To learn more about about how to handle pics, please read this thread in the Q&A - Help Forums, which also appears as a "sticky" thread at the top of every forum on the site.

How do I upload pictures to my posts for storage on milsurps.com? (click here)

In the case of pics stored in our member's Photo Gallery, all you have to do is click on the pic in the album and you'll see an area at the bottom where the cu-n-paste code is created for you, so you can simply use it within any post. Click Here to have a look at an example of one of the pics above ….

If you still have problems, email them to me at badger@milsurps.com and I'll re-size them for you, then post them in any thread you wish under your name

    Regards,
    Doug

It is aggrevating as I cannot get PB to even bring up my images from my hard drive (browse) so I can select which ones i post here. I wil send an email to their support. Thanks!

??? Oh, never mind. Unless I start having dotted boxes, then I'll get back to you!
