What is it worth?

Since there was some discussion about whether I sold my Standard Products too cheap, I thought I would run this by the gang ahead of time.

I might have to sell off a few more things until I find full time work, including my all original 1943 Inland.

We discussed it here before, so it is 100% authentic as it left the factory. (it came from the estate of a WW2 combat vet, but has no provenance).

Inland treasure - photo heavy and parts break down

I have never dealt in a collectable weapon like this one, so I have questions for those who know. First what is a collectable like this worth, and If I do have to sell it, would Gunbroker open auction or CMP WTS be the best. Thanks in advance.

MODS: This is not a cheap trick to sell it here, I really do need to arrive at a consensus of price before I list it on GB or CMP where I have a much larger pool of potential buyers.

I am no expert but that is one very nice M1. I would think 900-1100

I have seen several, including some that are restorations for $1500 to $1600. MIne is 100% untouched, so I would think at least that. After I bought it I was offered $1800. Note the scratch in the stock picture was superficial, and I rubbed oil in it, so it is not as obvious as it is there in the cartouche pic.

I can't remember if yours has the "dogleg" hammer and other goodies, but my 476K Inland with the "ground off" front sight ears and the buggered up oiler slot, I figure is worth right at $1000. Your other Carbine was gone before I even saw the listing. Let us know when this one gets listed. Thanks! - Bob

Just don't use a 'BIN'. Make sure your starting price doesn't leave much on the table - let them bid it as high as they want! I'm sorry you have to sell it and here's wishing you all the best with getting work.

I agree the $1500 mark is a good place to start. I would suggest you post as many pictures as possible showing just about all of the internal parts as well as the external ones. Nice clear pictures will help sell it and increase the chances of more bidders on it. Good luck to you with it.

The barrel at the receiver end, there will be some lack of finish as the gun was finished as a unit with the band already mounted and it was put at that end before finish process was done. Also side photos of the receiver showing the transition between sand blasted top and regular bottom. This eliminates any ideas about a refinish. It should easily fetch $1500-2000 being as early as it is.
