    Happy Birthday to me...from me!

and purchase approved after the fact by a loving beautiful wife!

I just bought this Polytech M-14S two days ago as a birthday present for me...$800 which included the three magazines and a 140 round Battle Pack of South African 7.62.

Under the trap in the butt, still wrapped in oiled paper was a canvas pouch with cleaning rod, oiler/bottle, multi-tool, and chamber brush. They had never seen the light of day. The magazines are probably Chinese and are devoid of any markings.

Here's the Springfield M1Aicon that I traded into last year:

It helps if she likes to shoot. Most will if you don't start them out with some mean kicker. I started mine with a M1icon Carbine. The only problem was when I wanted to trade it for another better carbine she didn't want me to trade "HER" carbine off.

That's funny. My wife shot .22's and something mean, then I had her shoot my inland, and now she "owns" a carbine but I don't. I do have permission to buy one for myself tho. Saving for a Rockola. Would definitely like an M1Aicon also.

Although these are posed pictures, she did shoot the Vector Arms V93, Ruger SP-101, Remington .22 lr rifle, and the Stoeger Luger .22 lr.

As Paul Harvey would say, "Now, the rest of the story:" This was the first time my wife (girlfriend and her first visit to me in Michigan) had ever shot, yet alone, hold a gun. She was born and raised in Colombia; where guns are not really a part of the mainstream middle class.
