    Bar Belt

Does anyone know if these are rare or common? I had never seen one until the other day at a booth at "Cheyenne Frontier Days", the guy was selling cowboy stuff but said he had had this since he was a kid. I bought it for $25. I knew it was G.I. but that was all. I looked at some threads on here and they were about WWI ones. Any useful comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Looks to be a good find for $25, now you need a BAR. They also work well for 20 rd. AR mags.

Thanks Sarge. I've seen multitudes of the M1icon belts. I had just never seen the BAR belts. I read RCS' post on his WWI belt with the cup. That is probably worth a fair amount. Just thought it was a cool find, and I'm not counting on getting a BAR anytime soon, darn.

I've seen repros going anywhere from 60-100 dollars . G.I. ones go for even more especially WWII ones . All you need are some M-36, M-45 or Marine 782 suspenders ! The earlier BAR belts had a metal cup to hold the Butt stock. Sarge is right they were used in Viet-Nam as M-16 pouches by Indigenous Troops.
