BRUCE POST MILITARY WEEKEND 13/14 Jul 2013

VFW Bruce Post, St. Clair Shores, MI, hosted a military weekend at their location on the shore of Lac St. Clair-"the fifth Great Lake". Reinactments were scheduled, but the reinactors went home Saturday, despite the pleasant balmy weather. Seems original wearers of the uniforms were a great deal more hardy. I have a lot of pictures that I will divide into three posts. This one will be kit. There was a lot of good original product on display and for sale, as well as T shirts and hats and the like. Note the used Panzer Mk 3 and 4 track shoes. The one in the middle with the long wing is for snow. The wing apparently was known to crack the shoe. The other two are for the mud of the East. At $500 and $400 each, these are expensive paper weights. The $1200 dewat Bren also pricey!
