    J.D.H. Compass

Hi all, I have a compass which I cannot find any info on. It is a brass case, painted black. On the case it has a mark that looks something like D/I\D, and under that 523.
    Inside it has the following:
    J.D.H
    L10.MK
    1943

    5 908

Can anyone tell me anything about it?

    Thanks for your help,

    Jodi

Without seeing any pictures I'd guess it's a prismatic marching compass. Does it look anything like this one: Original MK III Brass Prismatic Military British Compass T G Co Ltd London 1941 | eBay ?

Hi Paul, it looks different to that one. I have a picture but not sure how to upload it. It is a small round compass. The case pops open to reveal the compass. It is about 5cm in diameter.

    Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul, that looks more like it. I will have a look through the collection and see if I can find the exact one.

    Thanks,

    Jodi
