A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... 165 HP, 800cc fuel-injected two-stroke, 450lbs dry, 2.6" lugs on a 153" track. It's not the biggest or baddest sled on the hill by a wide margin, but it gets me where I want to go!

I'm bracing for it and putting up supplies.

There seems to be a general panic to find cold weather clothing.

Winter has been a bit nasty around here. Winter storm Atlas destroyed most of our trees with a foot of snow on top of ice before they even dropped their leaves. The tree out my front door split in half about halfway up and the top fell off onto somebody's car. Didn't do much more than scratch the paint tho. We had piles of tree limbs twenty feet tall around town in dump sites and there was a huge rush on chainsaws, bar and chain oil and the like. Had alot of angry people when we ran out of chain saws to sell at work. Most people were understanding though. I believe we are in for a wicked winter. Here in the high desert and mountains we are in for some high winds and whiteout conditions for sure. We have a saying, "Only in Wyo do people go 70 mph on a highway covered in ice, with 1/2 mile visibility and snow flying sideways in a crosswind." It sure does make for great test of skills when you try to shoot in it (not driving of course). Ive found prone to be the only way I can hit anything in the wind after the temps drop below freezing.

Here we noticed the deer had a lot of fat on them.(the hanging ones). A couple in the gang said that was also a sign of a bad winter or as I thought a great summer.Who knows LOL!
    Nice pic on the sled.
