Model 1903 Rifle Company Repair Kit

Attachment 46183Attachment 46182Attachment 46184Attachment 46185As a collector I can't pass up a table at a gunshow when the sellers say "Yeah, I got some '03 stuff. Don't know what it is though". Among the normal bands and springs was one "Anvil and Block" from the Company Repair Kit issued to units for emergency repairs. There is a nice photo and write up on page 527 of Brophy's ""The Springfield 1903 Rifles". Needless to say the anvil now proudly sits in my kit. I am just shy the double sided brass hammer, but I'll find it.
