hey - im still around , just been a rocky last few months - lost my job of near 30 years and have been trying to put things back in order , ive had issues in the past with photobucket but am rebuilding that mess , ill use this post to test my results ,

the cooey M82 mount was set up by buying a section of rail and modifying it to fit b, i utilized the screw mounts of the existing sights and dovetail , ive since reverted it back to original condition and cannot take new [hotos , but here is what i have ,

Really apprieciate you taking the time out of your situation to post this. Thats what I was thinking of doing. I have a six inch rail I can cut. How well did the rails stay in position with just one screw holding them especially the rear one? Was thinking of using a one piece about nine inches long but can't find one cheap enough. Once again thank you.

it held great , very rigid once the scope was locked in , we are talking a 22cal here so recoil was never an issue , i tried the single rail but i felt it blocked the chamber too much , if it were magazine fed in lieu of the single loader might be OK , as you can see the cockingpiece is hard to reach as well ,

my wife has that scope on her 10/22 , not sayin it caused me to disassemble this setup , im .....just sayin .....she has the scope now

Ok then I am gong to cut and dril the one I have. I really like shooting the 82 but can't see crap anymore with the peep or open sights. The golden years really aren't golden with not being able to see, hair not growing where it used to and now where it shouldn't be so on and so forth.

I have mounted a few scopes on Cooeys. I have used Weaver # 16 bases on front & back. Maybe there is a better way but that worked 4 me. ,,,,,,,,, Frank
