New production Lee Enfield N0.4 Mk1 barrels

    Good morning all,
I have emailed back and forth with Criterion Barrels here in the United Statesicon regarding producing some barrels for the Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1. When I contacted them, it was in regard to this posting on their web page:

    Criterion Goes Global

Below is a copy of the email that I received this morning. If Criterion receives more requests, we could finally start seeing some new barrels

    Good afternoon,

The No4 Mk1 barrel has still not yet been manufactured or released, so no price point is currently available. I will bring it up again this week at the production meeting, but at this time the release date is unknown. The best ways to track new product releases are to sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Facebook.

I think they see all the extra work in machining the bayonet lugs in the barrel as well as the front sight and see it getting too expensive, but I really hope I am wrong
But I know lothar walther barrels is also looking at making them to.

Why bother when No4 barrels are already in production in the UKicon, off the shelf, with lugs and made to the original Enfield DDE drawings.

It looks to me as though it's money where mouth is time for some importer in the US. They're already being exported to Australiaicon..........

What kind of mess would be involved with getting one from the UKicon?

Barrels are registered there I believe. Receivers are registered in the US.

So theoretically, you could ship into the US without any problems but can you ship out of the UK?

Australiaicon is going the same way with barrels I hear then you have the issue of multiple same calibre weapons which they dislike as well and restrict you I am maxed out on 6 303's one more and one has to go so there I sit lookking at others but know I have to sacrifice one and I wont so that.
