Exclamation Major research project .. help needed !!

    Hello everyone ..

We're looking for a volunteer to help us out with what could be a significant find of research material, relating to James Paris Lee, his entire life and development of the Lee Enfield Rifleicon.

We need someone who lives in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area of the U.S., who could work with us to facilitate a project involving the review, validation and scanning (digitization) of a substantial amount of historically relevant documents.

If you live in that area, or know someone amongst our community who does, please send me an email to badger@milsurps.com for more information.

Let's hope we can find someone, as I think our entire Lee Enfield collectors community will be amazed at what we have discovered and potentially arranged to bring on-line for everyone's benefit.

    Thanks...

    Regards,
    Doug

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I may be of assistance. I am only about an hour and a half from Lancaster. I am out of the country right now with work but when I get home at the end of January I will give you a shout.

I've contacted the Portage County Historical Society (Wisconsin) they don't have anything going back that far.

    Hey folks...

We've found a member volunteer project manager who lives very close to the source of this content....

He's agreed to help us and we've connected him with the owner of this historical material.

We'll update you further as the project progresses ...

    Regards,
    Doug
