building a 22 rim fire on an M1903

A few years ago, I bought a well used low serial numbered (1915) Springfield 1903 barreled action from the CMPicon. The barrel was burned-out. I found a man in NC who installs full length quality 22 rim fire barrel liners on 1903 barrels, they have an extension to fit the Springfield M2 (with the headspace adjustment). I had a M2 bolt and was able to put this together, also used a Lyman 438 pre WW2 scope. Gun Parts sells a 03A3 trigger housing modified to use a magazine too.Attachment 48562Attachment 48563Attachment 48564Attachment 48565

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. My son just picked this up at an auction. I am embarrassed to tell you how much he paid. I need the alignment tool for it.

Nice, nice, nice...wish I could be lucky enough to find one. They just don't exist up here.

I believe the magazine would also be the one that fits the M65 Reising. With that said I would love to add one of those to my military .22 collection. That is a real prize!
