    My 1954 HRA . . . after a few replaced parts

I posted pics of this gun a long time ago here:

Just picked up an HR Garand -- looking for information

Here's the same rifle now with a DGR stock set, HRA op rod and trigger group, and a new Criterion barrel.

Look a bit different now -- can't wait to start breaking in the new barrel this weekend.

Thanks! It took me awhile to get all the upgrades. My son was born soon after I bought that M1icon; haven't had all that much time to enjoy my shooting hobby.

Thanks! Dean's Gun Restoration did that stock -- it's a modern commercial one sanded down to WWII size and finished in Danishicon oil. Temps are about 28 right now in San Antonio. I think I may put off the range trip until tomorrow -- might be 10 degrees warmer by then. Here are a few more pics.

Very nice! I got an IHC at auction a couple years ago with a worn out, import marked barrel. I install a new CMPicon short chambered barrel & a DGR stock. It looks & shoots great. I think you will be very happy with it.
