A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Picked up two LB 1950's

93L69 1950 still covered in Cosmo but I can see the mag is black, maybe paint? Not shinny blueing. Trigger guard, bolt head, safety assembly and the rear sight are blued the rest appears to be a greenish park job.

93L60 1950 used as a target rifle with only one owner before me, black mag. Blued trigger guard, safety and buttplate. bolt head is in the white. The rest appears to have the greenish park job done to it.

Hopefully this helps out! Picked them up two days ago, excited to try the target set up!

Recently aquired a 1950 Long Branch 95L3225. Barrel and action blued. Wood is in fantastic condition and barrel grooves still v good. Test fired from 100 m with a tight group but point of impact was 12 inches below point of aim with battle sight. After setting 500 yds on singer rear sight from 200 ms it was bang on target POA.
It may be my little knowledge of sight picture if anyone can guide about correct sight picture. Regards

Might be the ammo. If you were using standard military ball it should be shooting a bit high, if not the front sight blade needs replacing.
