A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I compared the above rifle to my 1945 in natural light and it appears that it is actually all parkerized.

Which is right as rain since they switched to Parkerizing in the 93L serial range. Blued small parts will still be found mixed in.

relatively new to this site and found this thread (I was here for a bit when this site was hosting Joustericon)
I'll add the serial number and barrel date as soon as I get home and look,

    blued,

FWIW, I bought it from a dealer/distributor back in the 90's
guy was in New Nampshire IIRC , Degenaro or similar name, he had a small ad in Shotgun News, a guy I knew that was collecting Enfield's at that time told me about him

mine is used, decent shaped, and still packed in the funky grease it was shipped in
