    No4T Scope Sales

So - the Irish company decided to split up the rifles, scope, tins etc to see what they could raise. They following have just closed on Ebay

    Scope Mounts £367.00
    Scope Tin £206.00
    Mk3 Scope £666.00

The scope looks cheap compared with some sold recently

Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Absolutely, some good buys for some people, although it always saddens me a little when scopes, brackets & tins that have been together all their service lives are split up like that; but then money talks. There was a finite number of scopes in the Irish batch & whilst I can't account for all of them, I can assure you that whilst there might be potentially another ten or a dozen or so 'waiting to go', it will then finish, & given a month or two following that, prices will no doubt be back to their usual astronomic levels!

Yeah scope pretty cheap. Just wish I'd remembered to bid on the whole set which went for £1,000! Box went for £5 more than the bid I'd left on (oh bother...). Added to that is the scope tin strap which went for £140.

I placed a bid on that but not near GBP 140. And that is almost GBP 100 less than the previous one up on auction.

I wonder how many people on this site are clambering for the same items?
