    Question Value question

Do any of you know what a good price for an Armalite AR18 Sterling manufacturer in really good condition would be?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Bill, I gave $950 for a really nice one with an original Armalite scope mount (no scope) in Mississippi three years ago. I had to sell it when I moved back to Kalifornication since it would be a felony... I still see them $750 to $950 on a regular basis. If you get one, let me know. I have information on modifying regular AR mags for it.

Believe it or not, If I could have one, I would rather have the AR180 than an AR15! It is piston drive, and has the dirt and crud tolerance of the AK47. I wanted to weep when I sold mine. It was my second one. The first one I had from 1983 to 1988. Regret not having either one.

I checked gunbroker, and some in the $750 range (one less than that) and some deliriously priced at $1700 to $2700 with no bids.....
