Announcement New Advisory Panel Member !!! (Rick B)

    Hello everyone ...

I want to introduce everyone to Rick Rick Bicon Borecky, the latest member of our site Advisory Panel.

Working since he was 13 years old, Rick has been an instrument technician for the last 29 years. He’s authored several articles in various car magazines and books, along with producing videos related to the Garand rifle.

Rick has worked with all kinds of wood most of his life, starting with his father at age 13. He’s steadily worked for 15 years on Garand stocks mostly, but on all kinds of other firearms stocks for over 25 years.

Participating in various Internet gun forums got him into examining and commenting on various Garand wood markings, which stimulated wide spread reaction to his investigative and analytical work. Rick has been creating Garand marking data sheets for all of these years and has become recognized as a leading authority on the authentication and verification of Garand stock markings.

Outside of Garands, Rick has done "voice overs" in movies and currently has one in process, still to be finished. He also spent 3 years in radio in Cleveland and is happily married (just once he says!) to the same woman, where he enjoys life raising their two daughters.

Please join with me in welcoming Rick and thank him for graciously volunteering to help out with his expertise....

    Regards,
    Doug

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Thanks everyone and happy to be helping. Keep your eyes open as I will have a "Knock your socks off" story for all but have to keep it under wraps at the moment and for good reasons. If all goes well it will be a huge plus for many but not all. Even if it isn't I guarantee many will enjoy the story behind it all. Rick Bicon

Hey, Rick! Welcome to our humble hoard. I am a Sound Designer for video and film and wonder if I've worked with your voice before?
