In search of a Stock for my project.

    Hello Everyone,
I have a thread on this sight Titled 1905R Dilemma. I'm only noting that so the more experienced of you can see the pictures of what I have. I think most have concluded it's a MKII Ross; I gave it the R designation because all the pictures I have seen here and there the way my safety is made are on the M1905 R. I have posted in the classified section WTB a request for a Stock since I've decide finally to keep it and make it a shooter again. I need a stock and all the hardware that goes with it and am not trying to make it a collectors piece so I don't care if it's been sanded or not. It can be sporterized some but would prefer it to be all there. I'm hoping one of you guys has one laying around you've taken off gathering dust. I also have a question were these Ross's originally blued or painted mine has evidence of both? Wishing all of you Good Days ahead.

I think your best bet will be eBay for the parts. Sporterized stocks do show up there and on Gunbroker etc. from time to time. Is the bore in very good condition? Otherwise you might as well rebarrel it IMO. Original finish was a kind of bluing with some models have case colouring as well in places.
