Yep, superbee already mentioned that one. There are currently two entries on the list for that rifle .I'll see if I can whittle it down to just one.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. 90L8269 - I have the bolt from this LB T and it is in new condition. The rest of it was stolen from the previous owner long ago.

90L8249 - scope and mount I purchased from the the same seller. My receipt shows the rifle serial number, but I didn't write down the scope #. Stupidly, I sold it for $250 in shotgun news. Again, the rest of this rig was stolen back in the 1980s.

I checked through my register back to when my friend & I bought the batch of rifles in 1997. The following rifles (all scopeless) were included:
    90L8048,
    90L8055,
    90L8063,
    90L8207,
    90L8299,
    90L8323.

71L0632 & 71L0432 were also in amongst them FWIW.

I have Mk1 445C here. With a letter C additionally engraved slightly above and between the STG and No32.

Biggest heap of pure shixx you ever saw. An absolute xxxxxxd to strip and rusted through. The rust expansion has siezed the inner tube and ocular counter cell in place. Oculars and erector lenses corroded/etched with rust residue and needs a No42 to cannibalise to repair the tube and lenses. I have to say that the quality of the inner ocular seating and spacers plus other parts is dire. Not dire as in MGB dire, but pretty grotty none the less!

I currently own rifle 90L8321 which was bought from New Jersey complete with chest and a non matching british scope. It has the Savage marked rear sight. Thanks to the sharp eyes of member Lee Enfield, I was able to acquire the original marked scope mount at auction from a place in Kentucky. All I am missing is the original REL scope numbered 191-C.

List updated to include yours, and on looking back to a thread of yours about this rifle, harvested another set of 45LB(T) numbers from Terry Hawker.

We have a little over 50 rifles observed in this list, which shows a pretty good survival rate for them. Consider how many collectors are either not on the net, do not wish to make their numbers known, or don't realize they have anything that special. My rifle was, until recently, a deer rifle.

    Hi Simon,
71L0644 did come in to me in 1996. PM or email me & I'll tell you from whom. I also found that I have had 90L8218 through my books. It was one of the batch but came in on a different date so escaped me when I checked back quickly the other day.

I also found another couple of 71L's as well, that I have owned: 71L0594, & 71L0373.
