Need help id'ing this mauser and the type of scope mount on it

I inherited these two Mausers (and some other guns) from my grandfather that was a WWII Army vet. The one is a standard Wehrmacht Mauser, code byf 44. The one that has me stumped is this one with a sporterized stock. It has no factory code on the receiver and very little markings at all. I'm guessing it is pre war or early war because it has a milled floor plate. I would like to eventually mount a scope to this either a ZF4, ZF39, or ZF41 so that I can use it for CMPicon Vintage Sniper Rifle Competitions. I would also like to put a traditional k98 stock back on it.

Many military 98s were sporterised in Europe in the post WW2 era. The claw mounts on yours are pretty much indicative of work done there as opposed to in the US. These can be very good sporting rifles, but do not have a lot of collector value. Getting the claws/rings for these can be difficult and expensive as many different configurations were used and some of the rings were partial circles soldered to the scope body.

    Sporter Mauser

Looks like a post-WWII sporter. You really need to find the scope that was on it. Perhaps a family member got it. Without that scope and rings you don't have much.

Yea no clue where the scope is, I have had the rifles since 2011. When my grandfather was still alive he kept them in the same bedroom closet since he moved into that house in the early 60s. In my life time(I'm 29), I never saw it with a scope. We finally cleaned up the house a few months ago and never found a matching scope.
