    Gray finished Inglis Browning HP

    Good afternoon:
I have a WWII Inglis Browning HP pistol, early CH serial number range with the long tangent sight. It is finished in a sort of a light gray coloured finish, not the usual finish I have seen on these pistols. It is not parkerized, more like a baked on enamel or something. Has anyone run across this before? I don't see a reference to it in "The Inglis Diamond". I'll try to post some photos later.

    Thx

    Ed

I believe those were done for the Belgian navy in about 1950 and it's a Teflon coat. There were Sten guns done too...I've seen them both. I think they did other weapons as well.

    Chinese Contract High Power

All the ones I have seen with the gray finish were recent reworked imports and everyone I looked at had poor bores. I passed them up.

Was it Teflon or just grey park though?
