Ammo Belt age?

A friend gave this belt to me, it was her grandfather's, supposedly from WWI. No markings, a 30-06 cartridge fits loose. Loops are open on the bottom. Canvas & leather.

Any thoughts as to age & if it is military or not?

Look for the info Badger puts up for down loading pics to the site it is fairly easy even for myself who fights with the computers every time.....
