    Enforcer 005 pics

I was looking for one to buy and an importer in Virginia had two left. He sold the lower priced rifle so I bought the expensive one. Glad I did. It does shoot well with iron sights.

    Magazine is not matched.

I will post more pics in this thread.

    Front handguard band.

    Bottom of front stock.

Angry beaver work for scope clearance. The Pecar does not need this cut.

    Dennis,
I know 005 was one of the rifles I inherited when we amalgamated into Cambridgeshire Constabulary from Mid Anglia/Isle of Ely Police and we formed the first recognised Firearms Team.
In those days these amalgamted rifles had very little use as they were brought into our central armoury at Huntingdon, because each of the 6 riflemen had their own allocated Enforcer already all zero'd and settled.
    These like 005 were spares.
I am trying to rack my brain as to who the Firearms Dealer was who bought them off us when we moved onwards and upwards to other breeds of rifle. National Policy now is to crush all ex Police weapons so non will hit the open market ever again or so they say.
Sad as many could realise a lot of much needed cash for smaller Forces here in the UKicon.
It does look absolutely right as the sling is as issued and the cut out on the top wood for the larger scope used by several Forces other than the Pecar.
The 312 stamp on the bottom of the magazine was our Cambridge rifle. Both these rifles arrived into our hands in 1974 when the Team started. I remember that as I had just come out of the Army and I was marked for the 6 man team and was allocated rifle 231, I know who holds that here in the UK, and partly the reason why I specifically remember your rifle number mine was close in a jumble!!
Well done a good find and I am intrigued now as to how it found its way across the pond
Incidently I now hold 320 one of our spare rifles from way back then and she is as true as she was then
    Gil

I presume the VA marking on Dennis's rifle added you mean a Virginia trader?
Meant to say Dennis all our rifles had PECAR scopes as issued, so someone has cut that wood to clear the front end of the scope so it sits correctly on the mounts

I believe you are right. He had two rifles for sale, I was pondering whether to buy both or only one. While I pondered, he sold one and I got this rifle. 2007?

That's about right. He passed on soon after. I had 007 from him, set up the same way. Wish it was back in my hands today.

Yes that was one of our spares to from Mid Anglia Force when it amalgamated. All arrived in late 1974 but issued in April time of that year

The London Armoury on the Commercial Rd in East London had quite a few in when they were released I bought two from there, they were Nos 208 & 150, I still have 208 which gets an airing every now & then.
