    1898 Krag

Just purchased an 1898 Kragicon -appears original. Sorry pics will come when camera fixed. The sock is correct and obviously old but no cartouche. What does this mean ? Is this unusual ?

    Thanks, Kab

Nice...it's possibly a replacement stock. Otherwise, perhaps it was sanded many years ago and all marks were obliterated.

Here's the long awaited photos. Sorry for the large photos. This site has a wide border for the 'username' area and I've resized these to 33% as it is.

Nice rifle. Very nice sling. How is it other guys get these nice slings and I don't even see them? Maybe it's because I'm in Canadaicon? Maybe I should move?
    Regards, Jim

I think that is an Enfield sling? Hard to tell much about the rifle with those pictures. From what I see it looks nice.

Thanks. This is a repro of a Mills tropical sling used during the Phillipines campaign, later adapted by the Britishicon. This might explain better:

Not sure what you're looking for in photos.
