    1956 Sino-Soviet SKS

this was a gun show find, dripping with cosmolineicon and other stuff I don't care to know about, after cleaning it up I noticed all matching numbers and a star on the stock, I was told that the star with a number next to the Inspection stamp was indication that it may have been in North Vietnam in the late 50's to early 60's.

The Triangle 26 on the Right side of the Serial Number is the Jianshe factory in China but all the letters are cyrillic so clearly Sovieticon.

Star on the stock is a Chinese marking. You'll see them also stamped in the wood of Chinese Type 53s. If you had a star on the receiver next to the serial number, then yes, North Vietnam.

Boy that cosmolineicon is fun, isn't it?

    Yep, they're just Chinese marks.

That larger star on the Yooper site is the Tula factory star.

Fairly early Chinese it would seem.

    Lots of odd features.

Haven't been to a show in years. Have been able to get in sufficient trouble staying very local.
