Colt Scope ??

I have a Colt scope like this one. Colt AR 15 3x20 Scope AR15 : Gun Scopes at GunBroker.com

I downloaded the instructions and took it to the range, the scope is inconsistent when shot in a fixed posistion. I brought the target in as close as 7 yards and get groups 4-8 inches apart. If I make any adjustments it doesn't seem to respond. I'm wondering if the scope is no good at this point or repairable.

Any thoughts ??? Chris

Possibly damaged. It's hard to say without a control situation like a machine rest, but it sure sounds like it may be gunned...

Scopes can be fixed, but I'm not close enough to you to really be of help.

Is it a Colt marked scope? How tight is it in the handle? You may try one thickness of black electrical tape on the bottom angles and sides. I had a Chinese knock off scope that shot like that.

Going to give it another try this weekend, the lowest range is marked 100/200 on the dial I have been trying to get it consistent at 30 yards. So the adjustments for W&E are going to take some time. Guess I need some more patience's LOL
