Enough's enough thanks chaps. I don't do it for thanks, just to pass the info on and if it helps many along the way, then all well and good. And it's worth remembering that on many occasions, before I write, I pick the brains of the likes of JM, BinOz, Skippy, Son and Tankie plus others. So we ALL do our bit!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... With 250 or so, (I haven't counted for a year or two), No.32's and L1A1's serviced/repaired by Peter via my shop since the early 90's, it's just great to know that these scopes along with the rifles are on the ranges being used and enjoyed instead of collecting dust as wall hangers. The long distance armourer's course has been priceless too. Let the credit fall for many other Enfield related jobs done where it belongs in Oxfordshire! A scope just returned today and there's another on the way this week Peter so keep those fingers nimble and your screwdrivers sharp!!

God........... not another of the bleedin' things! I used to take them into the test range to do the 'hold and fastnesss test' on them using the slave rifle. My son Robert used to do the setting up and pulling the trigger. Don't tell anyone, but we also used to take an SMG or an AK or SA80 or GPMG over - to officially range test you understand........ He really enjoyed them days. He used to fire them on auto into the depression pit -- from the waist!

DPL, whilst we're all thanking you, let me add my two penn'orth. The little jiffy bag arrived today with the lead screw nut rod inside. Totally unexpected, very welcome, & I'm most grateful.
