    The Rock-Ola has changed ownership

Due to unforeseen circumstances Brian has sold me the spring tube Rock-Ola. Just to update the info due to the interest in this I have found several anomalies: the recoil plate in the photo appears to be marked R, it is actually a 8 and a punch mark on the other side of the tang. All patina matches and wear marks between receiver tang and plate match up. They have been together for a long time. The extractor is a SI modified to type2 with the R stamped over the I creating an SR mark and punch marks on top and inside. CCNL list this in 328. The barrel is marked Rock-Ola 2-43 with two P proofs an R and 1 on the flat and flaming bomb under the gas cylinder, but the cylinder itself is not stamped Rock-Ola. CCNL states there were some not marked. If anyone can shed any light on these anomalies, please do. You already know that somewhere in its life the hammer was replaced with a type 3, so if anyone knows of a source for an original type 1 or 2 KR hammer I would greatly appreciate you sending me any info. Thanks, John
