I think Ive heard it all now..............

Need some thoughts here.....ran into a DPMS AR at the gun show today that a guy SWEARS was used in Iraq by a security company contracted over there. It sure looks the part....worn metal and all. Has an 'import tag' on it. I just cant believe it. Price is right...anyone heard of these?

Buy the rifle not the story.

That's the story the importer is giving on this new batch of DPMS ARs on the surplus market. My surplus dealer had them here in PA a few weeks ago for $475 each. Who knows if it's true, but that's a good deal for an AR.

I'm with Bill. Besides, it's not that hard to take a mess of these, make them worn veterans and make up a big story. Then distribute widely with that story. Enter you two...widely separated...and eager. I wouldn't unless the dollar is so small and you're just buying a shooter...

Sorry boys, I'm on that site too and have very little belief in the manure that passes for gospel there. It may be true, but other than someone's word that's WAY out of sight, we have NO proof. Just a sales pitch. And this story's going to get deeper, you watch.
    Regards, Jim

I didn't buy either, I had just bought my police trade in Colt which was the batch proceeding. Yes, seems this is the latest sales pitch on the East coast anyways...
