I'd need a back hoe to dig one of those. Imagine digging one with an entrenching tool and then moving out the next day?

Now you know where we get the name Digger from as that's all our troops could do at Gallipoli to stay alive Dig, Dig, Dig and then dig some more.

It was explained to me when I trained there in '77. Digger was the name given to the troops because it was acknowledged that they did all the work. The Private soldier... That was what the Aussie's told me anyway...
