I received my books this week, the Broad Arrow and SAIS #10 Pattern 14 and SAIS #1 SMLE

And according to different sites and the gentleman that I talked to about the books, the Broad Arrow did come in hard back, but if you find it, it is going to cost a small fortune. I think the soft back is great. They are great books and have a wealth of information in the. And I think I am going to wear mine out like John

Just for your info i have 3 p14s and the Remington is a RE in a circle on top of the receiver. Have fun with the new clunker!

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned to Lisa that her P14 appears to be a WRS WW2 upgrade. It has all the outward visible traits. Lack of a piling swivel, plugged disc slot, removed pointer, and appears the rear iris has been snipped as well.
That is a nice looking rifle and one that obviously served well through 2 world wars.

Remington p14s are marked by an RE in a circle on top of the receiver, have an example myself.

She did go through the WRS upgrade. But she does have the stacking swivel. It is very hard to see in the pictures because of how it was on the blanket. She is also and Eddystone. Very proud that she was in both wars.

Hi Dan,
I was in the Air Force. From 89' to 92' during the first Gulf War. I was stationed at McChord AFB as a Jet Engine Mechanic working on the TF33 engines for the C141's. Never did go overseas, but I did get to see some shot up engines coming back. Best thing I ever did.
