    Nice Germanicon capture 1889 Belgian Mauser! Many Model 1889s were captured and converted to fire the German 7.92x57 mm JS round. I think this one is converted because of the cut out as seen in picture DSCF1622. Did you test that?

    @WarPig1976: Yes, just like the 1908/34, M954, M1935/46... and many others. All converted to 30-06 in the 1950's. The Germans had to make the same change to the receiver because of the longer rounds.
