Belgian non-firing training machine gun 1920's or 1930's

    Hello,

I just obtained this rare Belgian non-firing training machine gun, made by "atelier de matériel didatique QG 1-Corps".

It was a lawn ornament for over 30 years! But after a lot of oil it works even the flashing light bulb in the barrel!

It was used between WW1 and WW2 to train soldiers how to attack a machine gun. If you turn the handle (like a gatling) two metal hammers make a lot of noise. In the barrel al lightbulb flashes each time "a shot" goes off.

The idea behind that was, if you see the light, you are dead!
