A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Rebuilt and rebarreled at Tooele Arsenal Nov 1965. Nice example of a rebuild that is getting a lot of attention these days. Mike Bernazzani is doing feature articles on the various rebuilds for the GCAicon Journal, LEAD is next but TE is in the works. Nice rifle.

Looks like that after it was rebuilt at Tooele in 1965 it went overseas. It was purchased by Interarms and imported back into the U.S. Most likely in the 1970's. Note the InterArms Alex Va. import marking on barrel. (third picture).
Also note the Italianicon (Breda) produced Bullet Guide, which it may have picked up while in foreign service.
