Remington 1903a3 Bolt Installation

I have a very silly question. How do I get the bolt back in my Remington 1903a3? Just purchased it off of GB and it came with the bolt out. I have moved the cut-off to the half way position, extractor is lined up, bolt goes in until the cocker makes contact with the receiver. What in the hell am I doing wrong? I'm ashamed to have to ask this question...........

Meant to say that the "cocking notch" on the bolt is making contact at the rear bolt hole of the receiver tang.

Bolt is cocked. Everything lines up and the bolt goes in about 90% until the cocking notch hits the receiver. I'm starting to feel like a jack ***!

Try pressing the trigger at the same time...as installing it...

Ummmm.........the cocking notch should never hit the reciever . Is it turned all the way in ? There is a little , tiny button you have to depress to turn it the last little bit , then the button pops back up , locking it in place . Your cocking notch should be on the bottom and it slides into the groove there in the tang area.

Well the mystery has been solved. What I found to be wrong I should not post. However since everyone took the time to reply to my post, I'm compelled to do just the opposite. Did you know that if you leave the extractor at the 12 o'clock position when inserting the bolt that it will go in exactly 80% of the way in? Yes, it is true! And that my dear friends is exactly what I was trying to do. It is very embarrassing, however it is what it is. I turned the extractor to the correct position and I'll be damned if it didn't work as it was supposed to! I'm going to go lay down for a bit. I feel a little dizzy. Thank you all again.
