    NPM with Issues on GB

Been some time since I roamed GB, so first auction I look at
At this price......... You just have to ask, Why?
Anyone out there with a 'Smooth' UEF 8-43 barrel? No milling grooves on the outside?
I don't own (I think) a Underwood barrel this early. All my others I'm sure are ext grooved.
I love the boxed UEF/GHD and CC.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. An interesting carbine, isn't it? Charlie, I've got (2) with that barrel date. One is a bit smoother than the other one. - Bob

Now there you guys go again. Picking on such a wonder.......something or another. Now that stock is the ultra rare NPM future stock. It was made a couple of years after the carbine and then transported back in time by Capt. Kirk on the Enterprise. lol

Reproduction barrel. I had one that came from George. I'm glad he took it back!

Out of curiosity, what percentage of NPM had Underwood barrels? Marlin, Buffalo Arms, Rockolas and late IBMs, are Underwoods common on NPM?

I can give you the total of each make of barrel used by NPM. These are for NPM entire production.

    Buffalo Arms...87,960
    IBM................63,292
    Marlin.............68,499
    Rock-Ola...........1,980
    Underwood.....168,595

These totals may also include barrels that were returned to their makers because of problems.

Remember the NPM punch mark near the stamped P proof.
Proof that a barrel was used by NPM.
