    A couple of VZ24 questions.

    Hello Milsurp Friends,

A couple of questions regarding the possible purchase of a VZ24.......

    1) Is there any problem with firing a rifle with a duffle cut stock? Seller states cut is done well underneath lower band and band screw hole not damaged. Can/should the stock be repaired for shooting or obtain a different stock for shooting?

    2) What is a fair price for a "1937" "P" series VZ 24....receiver, stock and bolt matching with 85%+ blue remaining.

    3) If anyone has a decent, earlier or Lion Crest Vz24 for sale, please PM me.

    Thank you,
    Jason

The cut doesn't make it dangerous to shoot if that's what you're asking. It may affect the accuracy due to harmonics issues, etc.

A VZ24 according to Petersons in excellent condition is $600.00. In VG condition $450.00. Doubt it meets either standard with a duffle cut Good is $275.00 and is probably the best grade with a duffle cut.

I've been looking for a decently priced VZ24 with a lion crest for two years. Not many out there. Beat to heck and overpriced by the owners in general seems to be the standard. I've seen them but I'm not paying what they think they are worth in the condition they are in.
