    M1 Carbine Recoil Plate Screw

I was working on my friends M1icon it is an Inland and when i took out his Recoil Plate Screw i notice the Screw has the threads almost all they way up to right under the Top, So I took my 2 M1's and had the Screws that had the threads just about 1/2" and thats all. Has anyone seen a Recoil Plate Screw like this or is the one with just half an inch threads the different one,

    Thanks
