Heck of a deal from Sarco on M4 kit with detachable carry handle

I have an Anderson forged lower that I wanted to do a California legal "featureless" M4gery build, on after selling my RIA 1911A1 (due to arthritis in my right hand) . Then I tripped across this deal from Sarco for an M4 kit. So I thought I would share it. For $389, I got a flat top kit complete with detachable carry handle. It came with a Bushmaster chrome lined 1/9" twist 16" M4 barrel. Now it comes with a melonite lined barrel, but still a heck of a deal. All parts were great, and the detachable carry handle (which was also forged, I believe) was a perfect match for the upper. Lined up perfect with FSB. It shows A1 grip and CAR type stock, but mine came with M4 stock and A2 grip. It is a lot nicer than the Blackthorne or Model One Sales kits.

I just wanted to build a basic "featureless" carbine with pinned stock, Hammerhead non-pstol grip, and Tactical Tri-Delta brake. I didn't want anything that I was afraid to get banged up in the woods. When I ordered three weeks ago, it included a Bushmaster barrel. VERY nice, chrome lined. Heck, a Bushmaster chrome lined M4 barrel is worth $225 to $250 by itself! It came with a semi BCG, but I sold it and put an M16icon BCG in it, as well as a USGI M4 spring and H buffer I had. Even with the melonite barrel, it is a great price! I am glad it came with CAR handguards, because I hate the big clunky M4 handguards!

I feel for you. Anyway, shipping was about $15, IIRC. The M4 stock was commercial tube, no name, but decent quality. The carry handle is very nice, and perfectly centered over the receiver and with the FSB. The A2 sight assembly is straight and snug, not wobbly and off centered like a UTG. Finish is a perfect match for the flat top upper. I'll do pics later. It is what it is. A KISS carbine, no frills, that isn't too fancy or pretty. I don't run optics. I am an old dog, and I strictly an iron sight guy.

That would be great. $389, plus shipping and then we get lowers at about $150...maybe...depends. That would be affordable. Any way we build them, they can cost $1000-$1200 or way more. I got lucky and put mine together for about $800.

    3) United Armory steel ambidextrous safety
    4) Tactical Tri-Delta brake/comp
    5) M16A1 Bolt Carrier group replacing semi-auto AR15 BCG that came with it.
    6) Exile Machine "Hammerhead" grip, overhand grip with pinned M4 stock attached to receiver to make it a California "featureless" build, so I can use my pre-2000 possessed in California high capacity magazines with a standard magazine button, instead of 10 rounders with a "bullet button." steel ambidextrous safety

Here it is. It's on an Anderson forged lower with forged trigger guard. Note the early style CAR-15 handguards. I HATE the bulky M4 style... Also notice I use a 20 rounder in the weapon. Much handier. I have a 6-pack of loaded 30s in a shoulder pouch as a "snatch and grab" reload.
