    Best surplus ammo?

I'm sure this gets asked allot but there's always new info and results coming so I figured asking again couldn't hurt. I'm about to venture into the Russianicon world of firearms and buy a PU. I want to grab a couple of cases of surplus ammo, and I was wondering what is considered the better ammo of all the surplus stuff for sale on the major websites.

It's all the same. You'll have to go commercial or handload to get the good stuff. Clean your weapon after firing corrosive!!!!

FWIW, my PU seems to prefer heavier bullets.......182+ grains. That would equate to East Bloc yellow-tip, 'Heavy Ball'.

But a Russianicon scope is not set up for the heavy ball ammo. It is set for the light ball round. This doesn't mean you cannot shoot the heavy ball but just that the scope is not set for it.

That seems odd. My PU scope adjusts and works fine with both bullet weights.
