Anyone out there have a pic of the bayonet for the Springfield M1870 U.S.N., 50-70 rifle?

Where would I get such a bayonet?

(I heard there MIGHT be repros made. Is that true?) --Jim

Originals are a little hard to find and fairly expensive. Many of the originals had the brass handle removed and sold for scrap many years ago by one of the surplus dealers. Some of these have since had a reproduction brass handle replaced.

THere is one on my site at BAyonet Collection Presentation under the USA, I ahve been told mine is a regrip/fake, but it is identical to the one the guy had that was real!!!

There is one on EBAY at the moment i think as well
