6.5 Arisaka cases in the UK

    Hi
I wonder if any UKicon 6.5 jap Arisakaicon owners could help me out? I have purchased an Arisaka but have been unable to find any cases tried the usual places. Kranks hope to have some more in the New Year, but would really like to shoot the rifle before then. If any one knows of some one who has some or could spare me a few to keep me going, willing to pay or replace with new ones later.
    Thanks

    Terry

wish i could help you out i bought 2 boxs at last gun show here for 26.50 a box which had 20 rounds in each. which if i bought new brass alone it would have been 50.00 along with shipping fpr 50 rounds.
felt it was better to buy loaded an start from there as i only have 2 japs in 6.5 an do not run them alot just when i have the need.

If you can find it, I understand Hornady 6.5 Japaneseicon is better than Norma...some time ago I read an article comparing available civilian loadings against original Japanese ammunition, and the Norma measured substantially undersize in bullet diameter.

Since you are reloading there is one thing you can do to make cases. If you can find any 35 Remington brass, then you can made 6.5 Japaneseicon by running the 35 Remington into a 6.5 Japanese die going in a little bit at a time. Once sized then square off the top and your ready to load. The case will be a bit short in the neck but will lengthen in time. Shoulder will be fine. You won't have to trim it.
