Some pre WW2 rebuild marking
I found a few photos of some pre WW2 rebuild stamps used on the 1903 rifles. These are not really that common but can be found. A nice example of the POD Philippine Ordnance Depot stamp is difficult to findAttachment 58165Attachment 58166

I have a rifle with a POD stock but I installed the stock myself. Now if I could find a POD rifle with definite provenance to the Philippines ...

Rick, I have been told that there are Model 1917 Enfield stocks with the POD stamp too, I have never seen one but it would not surprise me either.

Supposedly, the money realized from the sales of M1917s (which was dirt cheap) helped to provide money for M1 development and tooling up.
