    1941 M1 Garand Scabbard

So I have come across an M1icon Scabbard that is dated 1941, in fact that is why I picked it up. I had never seen a pre war one before. I know that there were manufacturing problems before the war but don't know how many were made, their rarity etc. Does anyone here have any information regarding them?
