I need to get on your list for one. I've got a kit that Brian brought in early on, and it has a hole that needs filling.

That's exactly what I do Roger, and I have a nice roll of stainless wire I make them from. However, the oven is not large enough to hang them in some air drying is necessary first and this is where the variable shows up. It's not ambient humidity as far I can tell.

About 20 examples left now by the way. More NOT to follow!

I've said that after each batch of No32 brackets Rob, but 25 years & 500+ sales later people still keep asking me for them. Another 100 castings awaiting machining currently!

I see your point Roger, but honestly can't justify the costs on these, with machining at $200 per unit, materials, finishing, eBay and Paypal fees etc., costs are easily $300 a copy, and that doesn't factor in labour at all.

I counted today and there's 15 left.

Charge as appropriate. I did it with P40 brackets, and folk still bought them. Even with others doing cheaper renditions. Made more than one sale to people that had already bought the "cheapies" and didn't like them.

Don´t think that price is that important when it comes to something that is not a day to day consumer item. If I really want to fit a non one inch tubed scope to my Enfield, and there is no readily available alternative, it´d be hard to define an upper price bracket. The problem starts when the Chinese come up with a cheap alternative. Until then, I´d be prepared to pay the higher price.

Received this early in December, postage might have taken 10 or 12 days out here to AUS which I though to be quite reasonable (have had other things posted from much nearer locations, take inordinately longer?)

The Bracket itself is first rate , and the basic gauging of it that I've done, matches exactly the pattern room drawings for pad locations & sizing of interface features i.e the spigot & bevels etc.
I've had to resort to measuring as I don't as yet own an L42 or No4t against which to trial fit it, though I'm in the middle of building a repro - hence the bracket pad blanks I've machined.

So if he says he'll do something, am sure he will - so stay patient mate, as we all know things can be very hectic this time of year
